The premiere episode of Stargate Universe will be two hours in length (technically Parts 1 and 2 of a three-parter), and will debut on Syfy Channel on October 2 Cast: Robert Carlyle will play Dr. Nicholas Rush (formerly David Rush). Louis Ferreira (formerly Justin Louis) will play Colonel Everett Young. Brian J. Smith will play Lt. Matthew Scott (formerly Jared Nash). Alaina Huffman will play MSgt. Tamara Johansen (formerly reported as Tamara Jon). This character’s rank is in question, being elsewhere reported by MGM as 1st Lieutenant. David Blue will play Eli Wallace (formerly Eli Hitchcock), a civilian. Elyse Levesque will play Chloe Armstrong (formerly Chloe Walker, formerly Chloe Carpenter), also a civilian. Young (LOUIS FERREIRA) directs Lt. Scott (BRIAN J. SMITH) and a small team to shuttle down to the planets surface on a fact finding mission. Upon landing, everyone is amazed to discover that the atmosphere and terrain are idyllic. Relishing the sunshine, fresh air, clean water and abundance of food, many are reluctant to return to the ship, believing that providence has intervened. While one team presses on to find the treasured mineral, the other has another goal in mind. When it is apparent that Dr. Rush cant go on, Lt. Scott decides to go it alone and orders Sgt. Greer to return to safety with the exhausted scientist. Meanwhile, with life on the ship looking bleak, and with the aid of the communication stones, Col. Young reports in to ONeill, and Chloe, has one last chance to see her mother.
